Hydraulics
A rugged two-speed hydraulic pump powers the heavy-duty cylinder to provide 60,000 pounds of crushing force. The crushing ram is automatically cycled by a unique all-hydraulic control valve.
Safety
An emergency shut-off button cuts all power at a single touch. A safety-interlock prevents operation when the door is not completely closed.
Clearance
The DPC60 Drum Crusher provides ample loading clearance between the compaction head and the top of the drum.
Drum-Centering Pallet
The drum-centering pallet is designed for removing fully packed drums with a forklift. The pallet is fitted with interchangeable discs which properly center each size drum during compaction. These discs also protect the bottom bead of the drum from damage during compaction. |
Compaction Force Control
DPC60 Models are equipped with an indicator gauge displaying the ram-force during crushing or compacting. This is particularly useful in avoiding over-pressure that might cause damage when compacting inside fiber drums.
Operators can manually override the automatic cycle hydraulic valve at the desired pressure, or the cycle valve can be adjusted to automatically return the ram at any squeeze force from 8,000 to 60,000 pounds.
Universal Head
The squeeze head consists of two easily interchangeable plates. The larger diameter-head plate is for crushing all sized cans and drums. A piercer vents closed drums through the squeeze head.
The smaller diameter plate is for compacting waste inside a 55-gallon steel or fiber drum.
Portability
The bottom of the Crusher/Packer has a built-in skid for easy fork lift portability.
